A Natural Testosterone Booster That Works.

Natural Testosterone Booster

Today I am going to talk about a natural Testosterone booster, which should be a very important topic for anyone wanting to stay natural in the bodybuilding game. I never took any anabolic steroids in my life yet I have no problem with anyone taking them. I decided not to take them due to numerous reasons, maybe I will write about it in the future.

After working out hard for about 3-4 months, your body starts to grow slower and slower until it reaches a point where you barely notice any changes, even though you still bust your ass in the gym.

During the first 3-4 months of working out, your muscles will grow in a very fast rate, this is referred to as “newbie gain” and it is due to the fact that you were a lazy ass before and your muscles are smaller than they should be – it is not exactly like that, but this is the easiest way to explain it.

After you build a respectable amount of muscles, you will start gaining muscles slower and slower until you hit your first real “plateau”, and it is fucking frustrating.

What can you do about that?

Natural Testosterone Booster

Here is a reality check for all of you…

Having a rocking body is not 60% Diet 40% working out or any variation of this.

IT IS 50% Workout and Diet, 50% HORMONES.

I’m not going to prove that to you here, maybe in another post.

When we say that someone is blessed with good genetics for bodybuilding, what we actually mean is that he has high testosterone naturally along with other things.

But this is no excuse for you to slack off and be a couch potato. Fuck that!

I myself have hypothyroid, was fat throughout my childhood – I was 104kg when I was 160 cm – and my whole family can be considered overweight. I have an insanely slow metabolism, I gain weight faster than a retired French hooker and I always had low testosterone levels.

So if you think you got the worst hand in life, there are way worse than you –and me

After some experimentation with known legal Testosterone Booster, I have come to a conclusion that they are just BS and they don’t work- at least for me

But recently I came across THIS GEM and decided to give it a try.

natural testosterone booster

If you were too lazy to open the link, it basically says that a punch of Iranian scientists found out that Onion juice can boost Testestasterone levels 300% in male rats. Rats are very similar to humans so we could say it should work on humans too. Sources: This Study, This Study, And This Journal.

They claim is that Onion is a natural testosterone booster.

After getting the facts, I bought some onions and made some onion juice to drink daily.

One sip out of the juice made me realize how much of a BAD IDEA it is to drink Onion juice, seriously don’t do it.

IT TASTES BEYOND HORRIBLE.

Tried to mix it with some lemon and mint juice, did not work.

The solution was, to simply eat a whole raw onion a day.

I’m not much of an onion lover, but if you slice it really thin and mix it with lemon and tuna, it tastes WONDERFUL, and by wonderful I mean you can’t taste it at all, which is nice.

Guess What?

It worked like magic.

It takes 3 days for you to feel some result. Of course, you won’t notice any mass change in such a short time, but your libido will go insane.

Other indications that it is working will take up to 3 weeks to be visible.

So ya, it works.

Stay committed to your One onion a day, mix it with restraining from any sexual activity for a week.

And you will be donating semen daily.

This is the only alleged Natural Testosterone Booster I have tried that actually works if you tried any Natural Testosterone Booster and saw some results, please recommend it in the comment section below!

That was it, Gentlemen,  the only Natural Testosterone Booster I know.

Hey, there is a lot other benefits of eating onion in the morning on empty stomach, but didnt know about this one. Ill try it!

I would not recommend eating onion at an empty stomach because it causes some stomach pain.
it is better to eat it between meals.

Hey man just read this, and i want to tell you a little trick.
So this summer we where haveing a fire outside where we cooked stuff and so on. i have allways had a thing for onions and i fouhgt ” why not try to burn the onion on the fire?
So i took a raw onion WITH THE SHELL and i took it like 10 cm over the fire and let it burn. after a while i took it out –> let it cool –> peeled of the shell and ate it

It tastes so good. roasting onions gives them a sweet taste or rather a delicasi. Try this if you want to eat alot of onions 🙂

          On futher trial today…

i figured after i wrote this to you that i would try to do it with a normal oven.

So i cut the onions in half and but them on the plate in the oven —>
i then installed it to grill mode and set on 200 degrees –> waited 15 – 20 min
The result was the same. the onion got a sweet delicate taste.
          Happy to help you
          Best regards Luc Marcus.

            Luc,
Thank you for the recommendation, I do like fried and grilled onion, they do taste good.
But the problem is that it is not proven whether heat would change or reduce the chemicals responsible for boosting testasterone.
So onion might loose the benefits due to heat.
And my best guess, cooking would cause onion to lose the good chemicals.

My latest article called, A Game Of Hormones, Goes into what you have mentioned.
But, these tips would get your testosterone to an optimal level.
While I do recommend doing what you have mentioned, and I myself follow such tips, Nothing gave me the pump like onion.
Taking onion for me, at least seemingly, boosted my testosterone beyond what I am used to. That is why I mentioned it as the only booster that does work.

hi, just read your articles about hormones and this one. i will definitely try it out, because i stuck with my success in BB over the last 1-2 years.
just some questions – do you know or have some experience with sweetener? if i take sweetener, does it influence insulin output?
and is it necessary to take the week of restraining (with the onion “diet”?) 🙂

      Ceraph,

As far as I know, it does influence your insulin output.

Some studies suggested that taking artificial sweeteners would also stimulate insulin secretion in the blood.

Go for the bitter sour taste of it, make it worth the effort.

I tried 1/2 an onion last night. Felt nauseous immediately. Drank water, ate some food, brushed teeth, gargled w/ listerine, etc but aftertaste endured strongly. I had to sleep with a barf-bucket next to me just in case but stayed awake 4 hrs past my bedtime. Felt like shit laying in bed.
Woke up with a harder than usual wood, though.

Firstly, Thanks John for a good article.
Secondly, Vince, instead of eating an onion by itself, have it along with dinner food. it makes the food palatable. Make a salsa salad – chopped onion, tomato, cucumber mixed in curd and a pinch of salt garnished with coriander. Its common in India.

Eggs do not boost Testosterone. Cholesterol makes Testosterone, if your body have produced it’s daily limit, then having more cholesterol won’t be beneficial.

Just tried it today. Holy crap I thought I was gonna vomit as my stomach almost immediately began convulsing. But I have low T as well and preserved by adding carrots to the juicer. Lots of carrots. It helped mask the taste. Stomach still a bit queasy but am going to continue for 2 weeks to see if there’s a benefit for me. Thanks for the tip!

The best onion to eat is a red onion. More of the nutrients are found into the outer layers, so be careful to remove only the thin layer of skin. Cooking an onion in any way removes nutrients: be a man and eat it raw. I agree eating it between meals is better. While you are at it, try a raw carrot, purple if possible, for cardiovascular health. Also, eating cabbage reduces oestrogen in men, thereby increasing testosterone. I hate cabbage but if you are serious about being a healthy man, Nike. Onions are also beneficial for asthma and allergic rhinitis (catahrr): white snot in your nose. It’s a true super food and cures a huge range of ailments as onions kill bacteria and fungus in the body. Also, it is strongly suspected that not eating onions leads to easier weight gain which in turn leads to other problems, possibly even diabetes. Onions are so good for you, you have to have on average at least half a raw onion a day. Eat it slowly and after a few days you will be feeling fantastic.

I found this out totally by accident. I’m 44, Crossfit daily and try to eat Paleoish.
I’d been eating kraut and noticed it seemed to help and was backed up with some studies. Later I figured out when I chopped an onion up, and mixed it with it, my test was MUCH more noticeably higher. I have found (at least for me) I don’t even have to eat that much of the mixture to get the same results. I can stop and a few days later no desire, feel weaker, and no morning wood. With it I feel, literally like I’m 20.

I must say all this information sounds great. What I learned recently about onions are that they cure lots of diseases before they happen. Like cancer and other things. Another things is that I’ve been taught that onions increase the blood flow, in our bodies, so this would be one of the reasons why it helps us males have an avid erection.

Hey guys good morning, yesterday I had eaten a lot of raw onion and I’ve been eating raw onion in many of my sandwiches more often too. Well yesterday August 22 was the first time I had eaten so much at one time and I ate it as just a mayo and onion sandwich, and that ha ha ha ha was not a great experience. I than put a piece of a burger in there, which helped a lot. Now on the 23 of August I’ve waken up, with more of a tingling feeling there, than the usual. And I can also feel in my body that my libido has heightened. Which of course is fabulous! However, without failing to mention is better than having a libido pill, so far. I’m 41 by the way and I’m always told I look 22-27 and I always feel young along with constantly having much energy. Although, in the libido area is where I have the problem as far as lasting as long as I really desire to last, on and intimate level.

I juiced onions a couple years ago and after the third day I was the alpha dog for sure. It definitely works but I couldn’t stand drinking the juice and feeling nauseous for 2 hours so I quit. I have been on TRT (testosterone replacement therapy) for almost a year and I’ve been getting all kindsa gains. I want to ween off of it though so I bought some onion bulb extract online In pill form. I’m hoping that it will work the same as eating an onion and kick in my natural testosterone production.

Hey, I’m glad to stumble onto this site! I’m a girl, in my late 30’s, active, but still plump. I have been doing muay thai, weightlifting and yoga the past few months, but still have a ways to go. There’s lots of onion benefits online that I’ve found, but this is the first about boosting testosterone and libido. I’ll be trying this out and look forward to becoming more badass at muay thai and weights! Will most likely incorporate the daily raw onion with gaucamole (since I love avocados, garlic & onions!) and maybe a raw onion “bread” made with a dehydrator. Hopefully I’ll make some serious strength gains with my squats, deadlifts & bench presses. 🙂
    Thanks for the post!

    1. John Deus Avatar

You are welcome, I am not sure about dehydrating onion and how much it will decrease the benefits, since onion is mostly water, you might lower the benefits of it by dehydrating it!

      Parkham

I didn’t want to wait 3 weeks. Let’s go with Day 3. I feel pretty damn good. Could it be placebo? Yes, possibly. One thing that is undeniably – my scrotum size has increased already. TMI? Maybe, but I wanted to give an update.

I am using red onions – they are very pungent. I juice it and pour my 4 ounce shot glass to the brim (That’s my calculated “dosage”). I tried diluting it with a flavored drink but that just made it worse. I take two gulps and power it down. -followed by 8 – 12 ounces of celery juice with it as well. I feel a little queasy for a few minutes, but that’s it.

I smell like onions for a couple of hours. On day 3 I’m noticing some, not a whole lot unpleasant onion related gas. I want to get some blood work done before the week is up, but I don’t know if will or not. I will probably get it after 3 weeks though. Last time I checked my testosterone, it was in the high 400 range.

Hi guys, I am 27 year old and I have low testosterone level 350. I want to give shot for the onion juice. Does it realy help to increase testosterone level at normal range?

    1. Parkham Avatar
      Parkham

350 is not “clinically” considered low T.

Anyway (I am not a doctor and all information on this post is opinion and / or for informational purposes only):

The only to truly know if it’ll work is prior to taking onion juice:

      * Refrain from ejaculating or having an orgasm for 7 days
      * On the 7th day, get blood work for serum test, LH, FSH, free test etc..
      * Try for 3 weeks by consuming 2 grams juice per kg body weight of onion juice
      * Starting at the beginning of week 3, fefrain from ejaculating or having an orgasm for 7 days.
      * On the last day of the 3 weeks, get blood work for serum test, LH, FSH, free test etc.. and compare the two.

      OR

Just do it and see it how it feels after a week.

I started on October 15th. I’m writing this on October 26th. Let me tell you, I feel GREAT. My testicles / scrotum size has noticeably increased (maybe I had little balls to begin with? I don’t know) . You can’t placebo that shit, at least.

Confidence is high. Aggression (nothing stupid/violent) is increased. Aggression as in speaking your mind and getting more of what you want (at the least, making your desire a lot more well known.) This is not a bad thing, in my opinion.

I say go for it. As far as I know, it can do no harm, so why not?

Cooking the onions makes it very palatable and it doesn’t reduce its Testosterone boosting effect at all.
Just slice the ball of Onions, add some pepper and boil in some water for few minutes. Add a little salt that is all. Your onion soup is ready.

Couldn’t drink the onion in the beef broth. I just couldn’t handle those chunks of onion going down my throat. I purchased a juicer and juiced a little over 3/4 of the onion which produced about 75ml. I downed it and chased with a lemon like I was doing a shot 🙂 It was easy going down, but the aftertaste dang near made me hurl. It took a lot to hold it down. My stomach burned and I ached for about an hour. After that I had a protein shake and then eggs an hour later. My stomach feels a bit queezy I’m about to hit the gym in an hour. Hope I don’t puke. I will keep up with this if the benefits are what they are stated to be. Totally worth it. Isn’t anything that has any lasting benefit hard to achieve?

Interesting article! My friend thinks I’m crazy because I’ll eat a raw onion like an apple a couple times a week (get weird cravings for them lol) sometimes I’ll drizzle some balsamic reduction on it to counter the bitterness and add some sweetness. You can add some boneless chicken breast, cheese, grapes, tomatoes and then drizzle the balsamic reduction on top if eating an onion like an apple is too hardcore for you lol

(I pour some balsamic in a pot, add a spoonful of blackberry preserves, and heat/stir till it evaporates a bit. It should become thick like syrup and the balsamic looses the bitter taste. If you have no blackberry preserves or quality jams don’t use the Smuckers jelly/jam because it’s not as good because it’s high fructose corn syrup. Instead, you can use a spoonful (or two) of table sugar if you have no quality jam/preserves)

I never thought that onions would raise your testosterone but there may be some truth to this article and onions boosting T levels. I recently had some blood work done by my doctor and he also tested my thyroid, testosterone, sex hormones, and a few genes too (apparently they look at at a couple genes to check for certain genetic traits etc* and this is just a regular “complete blood work” test by my regular doctor)

I have my results right next to me so I’ll post them below. I personally consume a lot of saturated fat from things like whole milk and olive oil (there’s no clinical proof that saturated fat clogs your arteries) saturated fat and cholesterol are actually the “building blocks” of testosterone so fuck that fat free crap and eat as much saturated fat from sources like milk/olive oil/cheese (just avoid trans fats) I drink a half gallon of whole milk a day and I’m fine/healthy (my cholesterol levels are great too)

    • Human Sex Hormone- binding globulin (nmol/L) was at 45 (normal range 10-80)

•Free Testosterone (ng/dL) mine was “19.02” and the normal range was “4.7 to 24.4”

    • Testosterone (ng/dL) mine was at “961” (says the normal range for my age is “348-1197” but I checked different lab companies who are responsible for setting the “normal/average” T levels. They state the mean/median T level for a 24 year old is 692/697. It also states that men, 24 years old, with a T level of “956” belong to the 95th percentile so if my testosterone level was “961” I guess that means my T levels are higher than 95% of guys my age lol

It’s not like I “workout” in a traditional sense, and I know lifting heavy will raise your T levels but I only own 25/35 pound Dumbbells. I’ll do lots of push-ups on a decline (100-300 a day depending) and use the Dumbbells in various positions but at the end of the day I’m not actually lifting “heavy” or squatting “heavy” I will however go to the most steep hill in town and power-walk up and down it for 2 hours at least 3+ times a week. The days between that I’ll just walk around town, at a fast pace, for 2 hours. Mostly flat ground but I’ll add some hills (I just walk aimlessly)

Despite my workout routine, which i do just to stay somewhat fit, my arms look pretty big. As long as my shirt sleeves are tight, I really don’t care about how big my arms are. I just don’t want to look like I have spaghetti arms lol.

I use to get teased in 7/8th grade because I guess I hit puberty early and they started rumors I was on steroids lol (I would get phone calls on my mother’s answer machine saying “He’s on the juice!” OR “Stop juicing!”) To be fair… I did have a full five o’clock shadow by the start of 7th grade and 6th grade i was already shaving my face once in a while.

I wonder if thyroid effects muscle building because my thyroid levels were slightly elevated (post results below)

    Thyroid results
    •TSH “0.91”
    •T4 “9.2”
    •T4, free “1.38”
•T3 “180” (apparently my T3 levels were on the cusp) the normal range was 80-180 and my results were “180” Does anyone know if Thyroid levels have an effect on metabolism and by extension have an effect on muscle building?

Eating a raw onion is pretty hard core, in my opinion. Awesome though. I juice a medium red onion every day (I sometimes skip on Saturdays and Sundays), but throughout the week I don’t miss it. I’ve been doing this since late October 2016.

I have also introduced raw Ginger and Celery. It’s a challenge at first, but I do feel pretty awesome.

Nice results on the blood work! 961! I really need to get my blood work just to see. I’m 44 years old and think (from what I’ve read) that at least 800 would be a good goal.

Regarding T3 and metabolism – what little googling I did revealed that T3 is critical for metabolism among other things. This might not be what you’re looking for but check it: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4037849/#S10title

Great article. I never owned a juicer until I read this. Bought one the next day. My friends all think I’ve lost my mind. Fuck ‘em. I’m buffer than they are.

I call this an Onion Mary. One glass of spicy tomato juice, some A1 Steak sauce. A little Worcester sauce. One or two shot glasses of onion juice. Not bad actually. Or, google Bloody Mary and pick a mix that sounds good to you. Some people add celery salt or soy sauce.

Another one is a glass of ice water, healthy amount of lemon juice or lime juice and a shot of onion with a little sea salt or maybe some suger.
I was able to drink the juice and not be sick, although i did feel odd.

I assume it’s ok to get your full dose of onion broken up through the day rather than all in one sitting. Is that true?

Somewhere i read cold showers increase testosterone while hot showers reduce it. It only took about 4 or 5 cold showers before I got used to it, but i don’t have it on 100% cold. 100% cold is pretty damn intense so I only do that at the end. As i towel off it feels like game day from back in high school football, so maybe it’s working.

Also, anyone know what’s up with yogurt? They say it increases testosterone. It’s also convenient because it’s a slow carb and 80% slow protein. You can strain the whey out and make it slower, then drink the whey after a workout.

But the onion juice certainly does make you feel young. No doubt about that. Unfortunately my Fuck buddy caught the flu 2 days ago before I bought the juicer. I’m texting her twice a day like “are you better yet? Are you better yet? Are you better yet? Come on girl. Get your ass over here so I can tear you apart like this was the discovery channel and you’re live prey.”

Oh, I forgot to mention that I get the same effect after eating nuts…. but unfortunately I can’t eat a l lot of nuts as I’m kind of allergic or something, it also causes constipation. But if you can tolerate nuts, I highly recommend eating nuts, (especially) almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts It really works.

    Hi John,

Sorry, I don’t have the time at this moment to read everything carefully, just a quick question : Do cooked onions also raise testesterone levels, or do they have to be raw? Thanks in advance….

Jesus god this one nearly had me hurling. I love onions, but maybe I need to temper the ingestion at one time. I dumped 1/2 an onion, water, lemon juice and honey into a white frothy mix that tasted ok, but drinking it down made my eyes water so hard and my stomach heave.

I’ll keep going with this but will lessen the onion amount and go slower with drinking it, maybe with some bread.

    Wow, my stomach.

So many people tried it and not a single testosterone test before/after. Seems ridden with placebo effects …

I like the way written the article though very short but good one.
About eating onion or for that matter ginger garlic termeric or any other spices and such food, it’s part of daily food in India.infact one raw onion is the part of lunch for most rural Indians and that rural population is about 900 millions.
So no need to test on any rats.it’s a proven testo booster.
Need proof? Just look at Indias population men.
